OHHIRA-KO is a plant-based fermented paste made with Japanese vegetables, fruits, seaweeds, and mushrooms, fermented using lactic acid bacteria. This product uses the same five-year fermented paste found in BioBank’s signature OM-X DELUXE 5, carefully bottled in its original, unprocessed form.

Harnessing the power of 92 seasonal, plant-based ingredients grown in Japan’s rich natural environment, and fermented with 12 strains of lactic acid bacteria over five years, OHHIRA-KO offers the full benefits of long-term natural fermentation.

Heat can destroy valuable nutrients and kill beneficial bacteria, but our method preserves both. This ensures that the living lactic acid bacteria remain intact, and the nutrients generated through fermentation are delivered in their purest, most potent form.


Each jar is filled with care at our in-house facility, using our treasured fermented extract that has been aged for five years. We bottle the unprocessed paste just as it is—straight from the fermentation tank—preserving the full power of fermentation and live lactic acid bacteria without any additional processing. To ensure maximum freshness and quality, we produce each batch to order.
